Arts and mENTAL WELLBEING

Main image: With Kind Permission from ©  Alicia Hendrick sourced from The Kelpies, with kind permission, by © Andy Scott

A very warm welcome to you all here in the Arts and Mental Wellbeing section.
There are a range of free online courses over the summer from the university of Edinburgh listed here:  www.ed.ac.uk/studying/short-courses

We hope it really helps you to feel more connected with the powerful resources of art and nature.
We already know there is a strong relationship between the arts and mental health and wellbeing; here is a wonderful link to check out from the Mental Health Foundation, and see if there is anything that will suit you.(www.mentalhealth.org.uk/blog/how-arts-can-help-improve-your-mental-health).

We have some absolutely beautiful images here from Alicia Hendrick, Veronica Slater, Sally Carlaw, Katie Hendrick with photography from Arthur O'Brien, RIP, Paul Chambers and Isaac Miks; they just really show the powerful positive effect, of taking time to just look at these pictures for a few minutes can have.
